Rhiannon Graham is a remarkable graduate of Illinois State University, achieving academic excellence as a first-generation student with honors. Her major in Criminal Justice Sciences and minor in Psychology stand as a testament to her dedication and hard work. Following her participation in the Miss Illinois competition, Rhiannon was awarded a STEM Scholarship, highlighting her achievements and potential.
Growing up in a single-parent household led by her mother since the age of 4, Rhiannon’s personal journey has fueled her desire to make a positive impact in the lives of single parents and their children. Her Community Service Initiative (CSI) named “Single But Not Alone: Advocating For Single Parents” focuses on providing essential support in terms of safety, food, and shelter to single-parent families.
Beyond material assistance, Rhiannon visits schools across different grade levels, sharing her own inspiring story of overcoming adversity and encouraging young individuals to pursue their dreams relentlessly. She’s also a strong advocate for securing college scholarships for students raised by single parents. Notably, Rhiannon’s CSI introduced a gold ribbon symbolizing support for single-parent households, raising awareness for an often-underrepresented demographic.
